Foundation Art Students’ End of Year Exhibition

The Foundation Art and Design Diploma students from The Island VI Form had their end of year exhibition show at Independent Arts from the 18 – 24 June. The Private View was an exciting evening for all involved and was very well attended by parents, tutors, friends and members of the Island’s art community.

The exhibition itself was a showcase of the students’ final pieces from their personal confirmatory studies, and ranged widely in concepts and disciplines – from installation, painting, sculpture, graphic communication and textiles. The show was praised highly by the course moderator, as well as the team at Independent Arts, and members of the public.

The course has prepared students to go on to extend their knowledge, skills and practices at top universities across the country and within some really exciting opportunities in the art and design sector. We can’t wait to see what these students go on to achieve!

Course tutors Mrs Windsor and Mrs Vince-Guiden said “We could not be more proud of our Foundation students this year – they have grown into remarkable artists and have overcome many obstacles to achieve incredibly high levels of visual communication in their chosen mediums. Their themes have been ambitious and brave with each of them realising outstanding outcomes. We celebrate their success and look forward to following their futures with great interest and affection.”
