In 2011, The Isle of Wight Education Federation was established to harness the very best education practice within two secondary schools and a large A Level sixth-form centre of almost 500 students. The aim was to create a culture of continual improvement with increasingly successful outcomes for young people across the Island. The Federation comprised of Carisbrooke College, Medina College and The Island VI Form.

Moving forward, now is an exciting time to be joining us at Medina College. From 1st July 2024 we will be joining the HISP Multi Academy Trust. The ethos behind the trust is one of sustainable school improvement; and schools joining the trust do so with the prime aim of improving themselves and each other. This is achieved through the development and embedding of a professional continuum; attracting high quality trainees to our School Centred Initial Teacher Training; nurturing talent; providing high quality CPD through our Teaching School Hubs, Maths Hub, Science Learning Partnership and Research Hub; and ensuring that we grow our own inspirational school leaders.

For September 2024, we are looking to recruit an exceptional colleague to join us as a Teacher of Mathematics. We are looking for an energetic, high quality ECT, or a more experienced teacher, with commitment and a clear vision that will lead to continued and sustained improvement for our students. The successful candidate will be challenged to deliver a curriculum that inspires students through teaching English across KS3 and KS4.

The College is a fast-paced, fun and caring environment in which to work and there are excellent opportunities for personal and professional growth and development. If you feel you have what it takes to be part of our dynamic team, we would be delighted to hear from you.
